Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding, 30 December 1986 in Hereford, England) is a English artist and singer. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 with her catchy electronic pop songs "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is a distinctive soprano scream and a knack to write songs that are emotional with positive lyrics. Much like her predecessors Kate Bush or Imogen, she's at the forefront of contemporary mainstream pop as well as the artful independent music. Polydor Records, a major music label, chose to sign her and started preparing to release Goulding's debut album.
