Summer glau

She really must have made an impression since she transformed that single episode into starring in Whedon's next big hit TV series, Firefly. Summer Glau's River Tam character was complex and Glau dealt with it well. The character Tam was compelled to participate in trials conducted by the government where she was trained as an assassin. As a result, the ability of Tam to regulate her mood was stripped from her. In Firefly Glau was able to show off not only her acting ability but her ability to fight. Glau could maximize her athletic abilities since she was trained as a sleuth. Summer Glau was classically-trained as a ballerina. She also has training in flamenco and tango however it was her broken toe which ended her dance career. Firefly only lasted just one season, however the show garnered a large fan following. The fans of Whedon were so enthusiastic that Whedon returned to the show after two years. Summer Glau however continued to perform with high-quality.
